By accessing and using Veridiff ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Veridiff is a browser-based text and document comparison tool. The Service allows you to compare text, Word documents, PDF files, and Excel spreadsheets. All processing occurs locally in your web browser. Veridiff is offered in two tiers:
- Free Tier: Limited to a set number of comparisons per day, with restrictions on cross-format results, file size, and export features.
- Pro Tier: A paid subscription that unlocks unlimited comparisons, full cross-format results, export capabilities, and larger file support.
3. Free Tier and Usage Limits
Free tier users may use the Service subject to daily usage limits and feature restrictions as described on our website. We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits at any time. Usage limits reset daily.
4. Pro Access
Pro access is available through a one-time purchase. By purchasing, you agree to pay the applicable fee. Pro access is granted as a lifetime license tied to your browser's local storage. We reserve the right to change pricing for new purchases with reasonable notice; existing purchases are not affected.
5. Use of the Service
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to interfere with, compromise the system integrity or security, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running the Service
- Use any automated system, including robots, spiders, or scrapers, to access the Service
- Circumvent or attempt to circumvent usage limits, subscription requirements, or access controls
- Introduce any viruses, trojan horses, worms, or other malicious code
6. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are owned by Veridiff and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
7. User Content
You retain all rights to any content you input into the Service. Since all processing happens locally in your browser, we never have access to, store, or transmit your content. You are solely responsible for the content you compare using the Service.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The Service will function uninterrupted or be error-free
- Results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
- Any defects in the Service will be corrected
9. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Veridiff, its directors, employees, partners, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
